The details
Skywalker AI turns the Skywalker 500 drum roaster into an AI roasting machine. Point the app at the coffee bag; it reads the bean, builds a roast profile for it, and drives the heater and fan in real time. You watch the curve. It hits the curve.
What ships
- The controller. An ESP32-S3 dongle that plugs straight into the roaster's rear port and speaks its native pulse protocol. All safety limits live in firmware: fan floor whenever heat is on, 240°C hard cutoff, 2-second link watchdog, e-stop.
- The app. iOS and Android. Scan the bag, approve the plan, roast, then print a 3×4in bag label with the roast's own curve on the back.
- The coffee. Hawaiʻi-grown Kona and Kaʻū beans roasted on the machine, each bag with its curve printed on it.
